2005 Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue - Cherry

About this listing

Gorgeous 2005 ‘61 SG Reissue in near mint condition. Only cosmetic imperfection worth noting is some minor fade/checking at the top of the headstock (see last photo). Guitar is all original including the Gibson 57 Classics pickups. Great playing and sounding guitar with low action, no fret buzz, and a classic Gibson growl. Ships in Gibson USA OHSC.

Overview

Gibson introduced the Gibson SG '61 Reissue electric guitar to pay homage to their legendary 1961 SG Standard. Sporting that classic deep double-cutaway and beveled edge carved into an all-mahogany body, the '61 Reissue looks and feels like its vintage counterpart. Gibson included two highly accurate PAF-style humbuckers in the redesign, but with wax coating and a poly-coated wiring that will kill feedback dead. For those looking for a great slice of vintage Gibson without paying exorbitant prices, check out the Gibson SG '61 Reissue.
