Overview

In 2008, Gibson introduced an update to the Les Paul Standard which included a newly chambered body, locking tuners and input jack, and a modern asymmetrical neck profile. Gibson continued to build the more traditional Les Paul Standard, and this version became known as the Les Paul Standard 2008 or Les Paul Standard 2008 Specs.
