The 2016 Gibson Custom Shop Hummingbird Koa 12-String is one of the rarest and most beautiful modern Hummingbirds ever produced. Hand-built in Bozeman, Montana, this Custom Shop masterpiece combines a solid Sitka Spruce top with premium Hawaiian Koa back and sides, delivering an incredibly rich, articulate tone with the lush shimmer that only a great 12-string can produce.
Unlike the standard mahogany Hummingbird, the koa construction offers enhanced clarity, brilliant harmonics, and exceptional note separation while maintaining the warmth and balance that have made the Hummingbird one of Gibson’s most iconic acoustic guitars.
Visually, this guitar is absolutely stunning. The premium koa displays beautiful natural figuring, complemented by the iconic engraved Hummingbird pickguard, exclusive hummingbird fingerboard inlays, abalone appointments, and elegant gold hardware. It’s an instrument that sounds every bit as impressive as it looks.
This guitar is in Excellent Condition, showing only minimal signs of careful ownership. It has been professionally inspected, plays beautifully with a comfortable low action, and is ready for the studio or stage.
