The Final Cut is a vintage-style overdrive/boost pedal known for its high headroom, raw tone, and dynamic response, ideal for guitarists seeking organic amp-like drive or clean boost. The Final Cut uses a fully discrete design based on silicon transistors, contributing to its punchy and aggressive character. This circuit operates more like a high-gain preamp than a traditional distortion pedal, capable of pushing amps into saturation or providing transparent boost.

Controls:
Volume: Adjusts the amount of boost or overdrive. At lower settings, it acts as a clean boost; at higher settings, it delivers fuzzy, saturated overdrive.
Treble and Bass (2-Band EQ): Active tone stack allowing for significant shaping of high and low frequencies. Unlike passive tone controls, these actively boost or cut frequencies.
Master: Sets the overall output level; the pedal can drive an amp into natural overdrive when set high.

Sound Characteristics
Clean Boost to Fuzzy Overdrive: Extremely dynamic; cleans up well with guitar volume knob.
Aggressive and Open Tone: Maintains clarity and presence even at higher gain.
Responsive to Pick Attack: Great for expressive playing.

High Output Capability: Can produce extremely high output levels, enough to overload input stages of amps or pedals.
True Bypass: included for tonal transparency.

Power: 18V DC center negative
