Up for sale is a Squier by Fender Stratocaster made in Korea. Based on the serial number E103160, this guitar dates to 1987 – the very first year of production at the Young Chang factory.
Early Korean Squiers like this one have built a solid reputation over time, as many were assembled using leftover Japanese parts and benefited from stricter quality control compared to later runs. This one features an alder body and a comfortable slim neck.
Condition:
- Upgraded with Sperzel locking tuners for greatly improved tuning stability
- Fresh set of D’Addario EXL110 strings
There’s a cosmetic blemish on the back where some filler was applied a bit roughly. It’s purely visual and does not affect playability in any way.
Included:
- Tremolo (whammy) bar
- Gig bag
- Original tuners and string trees
