1970 Philips magneto-dynamic element with Retma dimensions.

This element was developed under the direction of physicist Joop Kerssen (Philips Natlab) and in its original version was equipped with a sapphire needle. (This stylus is included with this cartridge, in great condition!)

The needle is also available in an elliptical version (18x7 um), the element is then called 22GP401. Frequency range is 20...20,000 Hz within 2.5 dB. Intermodulation distortion is 1% (GP401 0.8%). Moving mass is less than 0.8 mg, channel separation is better than 20 dB, recommended terminating capacitance is 250 pF.
