This is a very high-quality Beatle Bass, about 20 years old, built in Korea (not China). The current $229 bass that Guitar Center / Musicians Friend sells is far inferior. I believe this top is real figured maple, not photoflame. Straight neck, perfect frets, and playability. General signs of wear here and there. It has a scratchy pot but is perfectly functional. Huge and woody sound. I have compared this with both German and Chinese Hofner, and to me, it sounds as good or even better (bigger). It's currently set up as a piccolo bass (ADGC) with a custom set of strings.
