Magnavox Astro-Sonic AMP CHASSIS/Receiver to Console STEREO Micromatic Turntable

Complete receiver/amplifier section from one of the most popular console stereos of the 60s and 70s, restored and 100% functional.

Here we have a complete and fully functional amp chassis for an early 70's Astro-sonic, which can be used to replace a faulty chassis in your console, or even as a stand-alone unit to amplify your micromatic turntable with original cartridge, which this unit is made for! It functions alone or in the cabinet, with it's own AC power cord and labeled inputs and speaker connectors... It's also got an auxiliary input marked "tape" and a handy "rec out" (both are female RCA plugs) which is very handy for ANY audio component's input and DIRECT PREAMP STAGE OUTPUTS for recording whatever is playing on the receiver directly... GREAT for archiving your classic vinyl, whether on tape or directly into your computer sound card, enabling you to combine the old and new, making SHELLAC 78's or classic vinyl available on all your playback systems!

It also comes with a very nice built in AM/FM tuner that picks up stations from across the country! It's fully functional and came from a near mint condition console that I needed some parts from... and I know someone has a good use for this! As there are VERY few amplifiers out there that can properly amplify older turntables with ceramic or astatic cartridges, as they have a particular EQ and level that will not work with most standard PHONO preamps in newer stereos! :o)

I included all the extras to assist you in your hooking this up, including the mounting screws to mount the chassis to the console, the original RCA cables to hook up your Micromatic, BSR, Garrard or similar vintage turntable, and EVEN the faceplate with all the knobs (it took a while to remove all of these things!). I also did basic maintenance to the unit, applying DE-OXIT to the tuners and various controller knobs to eliminate all static and other intermittent noises. A very clean, fully functioning. little-used, original AMP chassis for this classic console or any similar system. It's got an AC cord to plug right in and use just as it is and looks pretty cool out of the console! (and of course IN the console!)
