This Marshall 2000 1959SLP MKII Super Lead Plexi head in black is in very good condition.

The amp received to some mods, wone of which seems to have been reversed.  There is a post-phase-inverter master volume added to one of the output jacks.  A bright cap switch was also installed on the back of the amp.  It lets you swap between two capacitor values to tame aggressive treble.  The 100 picofarad setting engages a vintage-style bright value, similar to what you would find in an early Marshall JTM45 or a Fender Bassman. It passes a gentle amount of upper-end clarity and glassiness so your tone doesn't get muddy when you roll your guitar or amp volume down.  The 47 picofarad setting engages an even smaller, subtler capacitor. It provides just a tiny hint of high-end presence. It makes the amplifier sound noticeably warmer, rounder, and much more "pedal-friendly" at lower volumes.  There is a hole on the left side of the back of the chassis that was either a mod that was removed, or a bone-headed placement attempt that was aborted.

The knobs, handle, potentiometers, and the Dagnell power and output transformers are original.  The cabinet is original with the exception the missing back panel. Power tubes are four brand new JJ EL34s, and the preamp tubes are three ECC83/12AX7s (Sovtek and Ei).  The preamp tubes were tested to make sure they are good to go.

This listing is for the head only. It is shown with a Marshall 2021 1960TV Greenback loaded cabinet, which is also available on our site.
