The Ultimate Attenuator is a high-end and relatively rare power attenuator, particularly well-suited to Marshall tube amplifiers. It allows you to push the power amp stage to achieve true tube crunch and compression, while significantly reducing the volume sent to the speaker cabinet. Its attenuation is gradual, and some versions offer features such as a Plexi mode, a Line Out, and a Bedroom mode for playing at very low volumes. It's an excellent choice for fully exploiting the potential of a JTM45, Plexi, Super Lead, or JCM800 at high volumes, while preserving the amp's natural character as much as possible.
