Sennheiser MKH 415 T Vintage Shotgun Microphone + T-Power Converter

Vintage Sennheiser MKH 415 T professional shotgun microphone, supplied with its original retail box, documentation and inserts, plus a Switchcraft 48V phantom-to-T-power converter.

The MKH 415 T is an early-generation Sennheiser RF condenser shotgun and predecessor to the highly regarded MKH 416. It was designed for professional film, television and location recording, and offers the focused, highly intelligible sound for which Sennheiser's MKH shotgun microphones became known.

This is a particularly useful package for a working recordist or studio professional looking for a vintage Sennheiser rather than a modern 416.

Powering — please read

This is the T-power/AB-powered MKH 415 T, not the later MKH 416 P48.

Do not connect the microphone directly to a conventional 48V phantom-power source.

The included Switchcraft converter is an important part of the package: it converts standard 48V phantom power from a modern mixer, preamp or interface to the T-power required by the microphone.

This makes the 415 T considerably easier to integrate into a contemporary recording setup while retaining the character of the original microphone.

An opportunity to acquire a vintage MKH shotgun as a complete, usable package rather than simply a microphone requiring specialist powering equipment.

Condition: Microphone supplied in very good overall condition. Original hard case shows significant cosmetic wear consistent with age. Please see photographs for exact condition.
