For your consideration is a Zildjian Edge 20" Solid Ride Cymbal from 1996. Produced in the United States during the relatively short-lived Edge series era, this discontinued ride features Zildjian’s traditional bronze construction, prominent machine hammering, concentric lathing, and a pronounced bell.The Solid Ride designation reflects its substantial construction and focused response. This model is known for producing clear, articulate stick definition, a controlled underlying wash, strong projection, and a powerful bell capable of cutting through a full ensemble. Its weight (2600g) and focused character make it particularly well suited to rock, pop, fusion, amplified performance, and other applications where a defined ride pattern is desired.The original Edge Solid Ride and Zildjian ink logos remain clearly visible. The engraved Avedis Zildjian factory stamp identifies the cymbal as made in the USA, while the “IF” serial-number prefix dates its manufacture to 1996.This cymbal is in good used condition and remains structurally sound based on our inspection. No cracks, keyholing, or other major structural damage have been observed. The mounting hole remains generally round, and the outer edge shows only slight markings with no formations of cracks or structural issues.There is cosmetic wear throughout including widespread discoloration, oxidation and patina, spotting, stick marks, surface scratches, scuffs, fingerprints, and areas of uneven finish coloration. Several longer linear surface scratches are present and documented closely in the photographs; these appear cosmetic rather than structural. Wear and discoloration are also visible around the bell and across both sides of the cymbal. It has not been aggressively polished, helping preserve the original factory ink.Please review all photographs carefully for a complete representation of its cosmetic condition.
