Offered here is a classic Technics SL-1300 automatic direct-drive turntable, one of Technics’ highly regarded first-generation direct-drive models from the golden age of Japanese hi-fi.
The SL-1300 combines Technics’ proven direct-drive motor system with convenient automatic operation, substantial construction, and excellent speed stability. Its robust design and timeless styling have made it a popular choice among both vintage audio enthusiasts and vinyl collectors.
This turntable has been tested and is working as expected. The automatic functions operate properly, including automatic start and return. Controls and switches have been serviced with DeoxIT, and the turntable delivers excellent playback and sounds great.
This particular example is the Japanese-market 100V AC version. A suitable step-down transformer should be used when operating it from standard U.S. 120V household power. Transformer is not included.
