About this listing
Schecter AM-7 Aaron Marshall Guitar Cobalt Slate B-Stock 2496
The AM-7 is a purpose-built seven-string instrument engineered for articulate single-note definition and full chord voicings across an extended range. Aaron Marshall's design philosophy prioritizes responsive playability and extended-range clarity, making this platform equally suited to precision work on lower strings and tight harmonic control across the upper registers. This unplayed B-stock unit carries only minor cosmetic marks on the fretboard binding—purely visual and completely irrelevant to playability or tone.
Neck and Fretwork
The thin 'C' profile neck measures .787" at the first fret and .866" at the 12th, paired with a 26.5" scale length that provides comfortable reach without sacrificing string tension or sustain. Twenty-four X-Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 16" radius accommodate aggressive bending and tight chording, while the Wenge neck and Macassar Ebony fretboard deliver stability and smooth playing feel backed by a 2-way truss rod with heel access.
Electronics and Hardware
The Schecter USA Solstice bridge pickup and Schecter USA Equinox neck pickup are voiced specifically for extended-range clarity, capturing articulation on the lower strings while maintaining definition across upper registers. A straightforward volume/tone/5-way switch layout with chrome O-ring knobs provides direct control, while the Hipshot 7-string fixed bridge locks in rock-solid intonation and sustain across the full spectrum.
