The Purple Audio Action is a 500 Series compressor / limiter module based on the acclaimed Purple Audio MC77, the company's own spin of the 1176LN bottle. Featuring the same FET gain reduction circuit as the MC77, the Action actually has a wider range of attack and release times, even allowing you to get some reverse compression effects with the slowest attack and fastest release settings. Just like a great 1176 or the MC77, the Action is amazing on bass guitars, vocals, and snare drums to shape the sound and hammer down the dynamic range.
