Is it possible to improve something as simple as a jack socket that has been around for at least 100 years? Definitely: yes, it can be done! Pure Tone has taken on one of the weak points of a jack socket: the contact surface. A standard phone jack has one contact for the tip and one contact for ground. Often the contact to the tip is bent due to the weight of the plug or other mechanical factors. Especially with strats the socket is often a source of error - due to the 45° mounting of the socket in the socket plate the contacts bend relatively often. The Pure Tone Multi Contact Jacks have 2 contact surfaces each - the plug is held bombproof from 2 sides and is not easily levered out. The Multi Contact Output Jack Nickel Mono Jack provides best contact reliability and interference-free signal transmission.
