Overview

The Gibson Southern Jumbo (SJ) is an iconic flat top acoustic that has been in near continuous production since 1942.

The Gibson SJ True Vintage was a briefly produced throwback to the original look and feel of the early model Southern Jumbos. It featured rounded slope shoulders and the banner "Only A Gibson Is Good Enough" on the headstock.

Not to be confused with the Custom Shop SJ 1942 reissue made in 2000 that featured the same headstock banner.

Years of Production: 2007 - 2008
