This is a Fender Japan TL69-85 BFL Telecaster, featuring the popular Blue Flower finish.This particular guitar has a somewhat unusual specification. The serial number is an A-serial, which would normally suggest production from around 1985 and would typically correspond to the TL69-75 model. However, the neck heel on this guitar is stamped TL69-85, which differs from the standard catalog specifications.That said, there are rare examples of both Blue Flower and Pink Paisley models with the same specifications, so there is nothing necessarily unusual or incorrect about this guitar. According to the catalogs, the model designation changed to TL69-85 in 1994, and I also found information on another guitar with the same specifications that was identified as a 1993 model. For that reason, I have listed the production period as 1993-1994.The finish has aged nicely, and the color is noticeably different from more recent Blue Flower reissues. In my opinion, the color and overall appearance of these earlier examples are closer to the original vintage Fender models.If you have been looking for one of these, don’t miss this opportunity.The guitar weighs approximately 3.4 kg.There are several small marks, along with some other minor scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use. The frets still have plenty of life remaining, and the guitar has been fully cleaned, inspected, and adjusted by a professional repair technician.Only the strap pins have been replaced with new ones.
