This sculpted bronze Strat was part of a limited run in the mid-'70s, based around the work of John Douglas. Douglas used cast bronze over a fiberglass shell, and adorned the whole body with Rhinestones. Very few of these Rhinestone Strats were built, making this a very rare instrument.  Many of the original Rhinestone Strats were destroyed in a fire, but a new set were commissioned and built in the early '90s using both original parts and newer components.

Body Composition:  Cold-cast bronze, employing a metallic layer over a fiberglass shell with rhinestones set in the body.
