Extremely rare early pre cbs Fender1st production post K&F pre dating the 1948 launch officially of fender steel guitars, this 1947 Princeton serial number A 622 like most of these they all had an A in front of them on the early ones especially prototypes. This is a mahogany body with the ultra, rare tweed case made by Gieb. This piece of history plays incredibly well, these are very and predate the flat pole telecaster pick up. Many Steel Players say these are the best pick up ever designed for steel guitar and no doubt hand wound in the 40s and still workin! One this early no doubt in my mind Leo probably had his hands on it. This is the only one on Reverb and they don’t come up very! Please see my numerous Vintage Guitars and parts for sale at my Reverb shop site at JoshuaMartinMusic71 and on all social media! thanks I’ll be listing more items mostly pre-CBS Fender & 1950s-1960s Gibson items. All items are fully insured, well packed and shipped within 1-2 business days normally! Thank you for looking! Joshuamartinmusicofficial.com
