The Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom AAAA Figured in Rally Red takes the familiar authority of a Les Paul Custom and turns the attitude up several notches. The figured maple top and transparent Rally Red finish already make a statement, but the bold white racing stripes give the unmistakable personality of a vintage muscle car. Beneath the flash, the mahogany body, multi-ply binding, ebony fingerboard, and split-diamond headstock keep enough of that classic Custom character intact to make this feel like a genuine hot-rodded Les Paul rather than a departure from the formula.
In your hands, the Futura brings a more modern take on the traditional Les Paul experience. Ultra-Modern weight relief keeps the guitar comfortable without taking away its substantial feel, while the Modern Contoured Heel and fast Modern C neck make it easy to move around the 10"-14" compound-radius ebony fingerboard. Stainless-steel frets add a smooth, durable playing surface, and the combination feels particularly at home when you're pushing into bends, fast runs, or aggressive rhythm work. It's a Les Paul built to encourage you to play hard and play often.
The ProBucker Ignite humbuckers deliver a hotter, tighter voice with plenty of punch for modern rock and high-gain sounds while retaining the clarity needed to keep individual notes defined. Push/pull controls add coil-splitting and phase options, giving you considerably more tonal territory than the classic Les Paul Custom layout suggests. Locking Grover tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and LockTone hardware round out the package, making this Rally Red Futura a seriously versatile player with the looks to match.
