dbx 100 Boom Box subharmonic synthesizer. This unit uses input information in the 50-100 hz range, and generates low frequencies one octave below, which you can selectively mix in with the original input information. Also has a low frequency boost that enhances the existing bass frequencies in the input. Low frequency output can be routed to its own output if you want to use a dedicated low end amp and speaker. Sometimes described as an aural exciter for the low end, it adds serious bass even to input signals that have no 25-50hz frequencies at all. If you have speakers that are able to reproduce extreme low end, this unit is guaranteed to shake them! Very good shape, has a little wear on the wood sides and some scratches (see pictures), but overall very clean, and functions just as it should.
