I've made the following upgrades to this beauty:

1. Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster pickups. These things rip while maintaining a clean chime that you want from a single coil.
2. Genuine Fender bridge with brass saddles. Nothing resonates like brass! Made on the same manufacturing equipment for 75+ years.

3. Mojotone Solderless Tele 4-way Mod Guitar Wiring Harness. OOOH BAYYBY I love this feature. Not only does it include upgraded 250k potentiometers, switch, and input jack, but it has a 4 way pickup selector!
That means besides having the 3 crisp tele tones we all love, it has a fourth position that puts the pickups in SERIES and turns your lovely tele into one fat humbucker!

And the icing on the cake? Solderless pickup swaps! You heard me! this thing has a button release for the pickup wires. Change the pups to your heart's content without the mess!

Now what about the base guitar itself? Not only are you getting that rare and wonderful mix of Jazzmaster ergonomics with classic tele tone, you're getting a classically beautiful mix of shell pink and mint green pickguard.

But how does it play???

Not a dead note in sight! The neck is so good you wouldn't believe it's a Squier! Not a single sprouted fret.

The body is in NEAR PERFECT condition with the smallest hairline crack in the body near the neck pocket of the upper horn. See photo. The crack is cosmetic and doesn't affect stability or playability.

You'll never find such a beautifully modded Jazzmaster/Tele hybrid. The newer ones have a Jazzmaster neck pickup. If you want the pure tele sound, you have to pick up one of these rare and discontinued models from years back.
