This is a "Dobro Resophonic Square Neck guitar model D40 made in the Gardena Factory, California in 1965-66. See page 246 of Mark Makin's wonderful book of all things National and Dobro "Palm Trees, Señoritas...and Rocket Ships!". This was the last time that the Dopyera family controlled the Dobro (DOpyera BROthers) brand. They sold out to Mosrite in 1967 and Mosrite went bust in 1969.

The 'interesting' fact about this model is the cover plate with 3 rows of holes rather than the usual dobro 2. It was left over from the Fiddle Edge Dobro production of the previous owners.

This guitar has been sitting for more than five years, not being played. It most likely will need set up work after you receive it. No case. Please look at the photos. There are lots of scratches, especially around the edges. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Note: I sent a flat rate for international shipping. Please check with me for a shipping quote if you were outside of the United States. Shipping pricing may vary depending on your country.
