The original internal G String label clearly confirms the build date as December 24, 1998.

G String was founded by luthier Derek Shimizu in Hawaii in the 1990s. This instrument dates from the early Hawaii-made period of the brand and is an interesting example for players and collectors looking for an older Hawaiian-made G String.

The koa has beautiful natural figuring throughout the instrument, with strong grain and character that changes depending on the light and viewing angle.
