For sale is the iconic Roland Juno 106s, a rarer version of the Juno 106 with full-range speakers (which can be detached).

What's unique about this instrument is that it has all six original 80017a VCF/VCA chips. They were "skinned" during service and resoldered with new solder, ensuring they will last for many more years. These chips have a defect that, in the original plastic housing, they get too hot and burn out. That's why there are so few instruments with the original chips.

This is a version for the Japanese market, but it has a transformer with two secondary windings, which can be set to 110V or 230V. It is now 230V.

During the renovation before being put up for sale, the following work was performed:

- replacing all capacitors in the power supply section

- checking other components, replacing the conductive paste in the voltage regulators, etc.

- desoldering all (!) potentiometers, disassembling them, cleaning them, and lubricating them with special potentiometer paste. (Unlike "scrubbing" the potentiometers, this will give them a very long life and preserve their original sound.)

- All the foam protecting the potentiometers from dust has been replaced

- All the microswitches have been replaced with original Alps ones (just like the original ones)

After the restoration, the instrument was calibrated/tuned using an oscilloscope and an oscillator.

The speakers are in excellent condition (like new).

The keys are white, not yellowed from age.

The plastic sides are slightly scratched, but that's normal for this model.

The colored buttons are not faded, as is often the case with this model. They are beautiful, almost factory-colored.
