Offered for sale is an exceptionally rare and highly collectible 1969 Hiwatt 4x12" speaker cabinet, loaded with its most desirable upgrade:
a matched quad of original Celestion G12H T1217 75Hz speakers, manufactured at the legendary Thames Ditton factory.
All four speakers have original Pulsonic cones (stamped 8 102 003) – exactly the specification preferred by many of the most iconic guitarists of the late 60s and early 70s. Cabinet
Details:
Original 1969 Hiwatt 4x12" (Harry Joyce era). Empty cabinets of this type alone fetch €700–900.
Speakers: 4 × Celestion G12H 30W 75Hz T1217 (1969, Thames Ditton)
Speaker condition: Original Pulsonic cones — no recones, no repairs, no rub, absolutely pristine condition.
Cabinet: Structurally sound and in truly good visual condition for the age, no mold smell as it`s been carefully kept in a recording studio. Original Tolex and grillcloth fully intact.
The Hiwatt construction is thicker than the 1960s Marshalls hence the cab sounds fuller, deeper and warmer. It have no doubt it`s the best cab you`ll ever get your hands on.
Electronics: Solder joints have been professionally reworked to secure age-related loosening — without affecting sound or performance. This was the only "repair" ever done to this cab.
This is not a reissue or a replica — this is an authentic, vintage piece from the golden age of British amplification.
