Ludwig Reisinger Vienna model ~1925 - fantastic and loud sounding handmade guitar

Reisinger was one of the most celebrated Viennese builders of the late 19th/early 20th-century. He  was born in 1863 and started to learn in 1877 from Ignaz Johann Bucher, who was a student from Johann Georg Stauffer. He worked for Bucher until 1887 and started to open his own shop in Vienna later on.

Reisinger had a particularly good reputation and was soon considered as the best viennese guitarmaker of the time. Reissinger died in 1938.

Like Hermann Hauser I, Ludwig Reisinger built the Vienna models to perfection. This guitar is a nice example. The guitar has a top made of  spruce, back and sides made of maple and a fingerboard made of ebony. The scale length is 650 mm and the nut width is 52 mm. The guitar has been restored and some cracks have been professionally repaired. It is also equipped with an adjustable (Stauffer style) neck.

The sound is loud, powerful and with great dynamics – it has a large and deep body and this creates a sublime, almost majestic sound.
The sound is beautiful, masterful with concert quality. It has a lot of clarity, but at the same time incredible tonal flexibility. It offers the magic that only an old, masterfully built guitar can produce.
The guitar offers a wide range of beautiful timbres in all registers.
