This exquisite 1987 Gibson J-200 is now available from our collection.

The Gibson SJ-200 Super Jumbo, formerly known as the J-200, reigns supreme as the queen of all flat-top acoustic guitars. Since its debut in the late 1930s, it has set the standard in popular music and remains one of the most revered Western acoustic guitars to date.

This particular J-200 made its way to Germany after being originally purchased from Matt Umanov Guitars in New York. Previously owned by a member of the band Dead Star Talk, it has been featured in numerous studio recordings, including the music video available here:

The guitar is in impeccable technical condition, devoid of any cracks, breaks, or similar issues. Over the years, it has acquired a stunning patina that adds to its allure. Its tone is a harmonious blend of warmth and brilliance, immediately captivating any listener. Such a resonant sound is characteristic of authentic vintage guitars.

With an action measuring E = 2.25mm and e = 2mm (taken at the 12th fret), the playability is smooth and inviting.

Aside from the LR Baggs Anthem pickup, which has been retrofitted, the guitar remains in its original state.
