The Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi is without question one of the most popular bass effects around. With its unique sound between fuzz and distortion it makes the floor shake and shows an amazing flexibility.

Analog fuzz with classic controls

The analog circuitry of the Bass Big Muff Pi finds its inspiration in the legendary green Big Muffs from the Russian Sovtek factory and the very first Muff from the early Seventies. Adjustable via the Sustain knob, the Bass effect pedal delivers colorful distortion ranging from subtle overdrive to maximum high-gain fuzz. The Tone control allows you to adjust the treble content.

Three Sound Modes

The three-position toggle switch in the center of the EHX Bass Big Muff Pi selects between three characterful sound modes. In the middle Normal position, the bass effect unit delivers the unadulterated Big Muff sound, while the Dry mode mixes in the clean signal to boost the low end. To give particularly brilliant electric basses or treble-rich sound settings the necessary depth foundation, the Bass Boost mode strengthens the low frequency ranges.
