Howdy from Texas! 🤠
Got another oddball offset for ya! This rad "Jazzmaster XII" is one of my favorite 12 strings I've ever played let alone built/painted! Based around a US made Alder body paired with a custom built neck modeled after a '65 XII (but with a few modern tweaks), this jangly thing feels and plays as good as it looks! The body features custom enlarged and softened forearm and belly contours sanded in for more playing comfort, and the neck has been meticulously shaped to ensure the "hockey stick" headstock looks right and the profile is nice and comfortable. A one of a kind guitar thats ready to jangle its way to your guitarsenal!
Full details/specs below. Thanks for looking!
SPECS/UPGRADES:
- Custom USA-made Alder body sprayed in Aztec Gold nitrocellulose lacquer with finish checking / light/medium relic job
- Custom built neck / Shape based on 1965 Fender XII neck (pictured for reference--not included) but with widened "D Width" 1 7/8" nut. Slim C profile, 10" radius, and medium fret wire. Fingerboard edges rolled, frets leveled and polished, pearloid inlays aged, fretboard oiled+conditioned+waxed for that oily, smooth vintage feel. Bone nut properly slotted with drones first like a vintage XII. back of neck finish lightly sanded to remove "sticky" feel while retaining a glossy look. Sprayed in vintage honey brown nitrocellulose lacquer
- Matching headcap / custom Feelgood Electric XII headstock decal
- Classic Vibe JM pickups, Alnico V magnets, Hand wired using full size audio taper pots and Gavitt cloth wire.
- Fender tuners, relic/aged nickel
- Faction Guitars 12 string hardtail plate, Vintage style JM/Jaguar bridge. Bridge posts wrapped to keep bridge in one place as opposed to rocking as it would with a tremolo. Multi slotted saddles allow you to customize string spacing to your liking and a .75 degree shim in the neck adds sufficient downward pressure to the bridge to keep the strings firmly in their slots. Even when strumming hard, the strings stay right where you want them to be. Intonation in standard tuning is spot-on
- Pearloid pickguard with aged white plastics and white rhythm circuit switch
- Internal cavities and back of pickguard shielded with conductive copper tape for maximum hum reduction.
- Fresh setup with Ernie Ball 12 String Slinky .8-.40 strings. Plays similarly to a 6 string with 10s due to the lightness of the strings. Nice low comfy action, intonated in E standard (personalized setup available if purchased at full asking price)
- Tasteful relic job complete with lightly aged metal parts, aged clear nitro topcoat, worn finish, dings/dents, finish checking etc.
Weight: 8.6 lbs
