- Observations: This guitar is a consignment item in very good condition. There are a couple small cracks on the top that have been professionally repaired. It is all original except a replaced pickguard that is still a original D'Angelico, just a later year. Has recently been setup and inspected by professional luthier Chris Forshage.
This guitar is an exquisite example of the renowned luthier John D’Angelico. D”Angelico’s Instruments represent the pinnacle of the art form for many, and are highly sought after by both collectors and enthusiast alike. This particular New Yorker (#1349) was the 22nd New Yorker built and was completed on June 23rd, 1938 for player Miller Stephens. Due to the quality of D’Angelico instruments and their relative scarcity, as he only built a total of 1164 instruments, these guitars are becoming more and more valuable as the years go on.
