The Seafoam Plus from Keeley is an impressively powerful chorus that sets itself apart from the pack with a new type of chorus usually only found in DAWs and expensive studio gear. This is the ADT chorus, which essentially stacks three voices on top of each other with slight delays and slight detune to create lush wide effect that Keeleys calls its "True Chorus". There are two additional modes dubbed "Seafoam" and "Dual Chorus". Seafoam mode is similar to what is found in most typical chorus pedals, based around an LFO which at low rate sounds like a vintage BBD chorus unit, and with the rate turned up and the mix all the way up produces a rich springy vibrato. The Dual Chorus mode is essentially a split band chorus with the division at the high E string, so players can independently control chorus depth for the highs and lows of the instrument. With an additional Bass mode (which includes flanger) and roll-off options available via an internal dipswitch, the Seafoam Plus is an incredibly diverse chorus pedal worthy of a spot in any serious setup.
