Bought these pickups as a set from Zexcoil…very versatile with the best quack tones at the same volume as 1, 3 and 5! With the Convertibles, you can go from single coil Texas (or Chicago) blues to humbucker fueled Southern Rock.

The Convertible is designed to split. In Silent Split™ mode it has a lower output level, comparable to a low wind conventional single coil. In series mode it has a powerful, but clear voice, like the best AlNiCo 5 humbucker.

For the Middle, the 2 Series has the frequency response of AlNiCo 2. AlNiCo 2 imparts a rounder response to the classic Strat sound, yielding a deeper tone and a sweet sounding quack in the in between positions. The 2 Series makes a great middle pickup and is featured in many of Zexcoils standard sets.

And, no noise…the Zexcoils are quiet!
