Trev has spent the last 30 years helping
guitarists sound great and stay in tune.
Nobody wants to hear an out of tune chord
or arpeggio.
Deep drilled and stagger drilled blocks
really help solve this problem ( introduced
by Wilkinson 15 years ago) but there are
the “tonehounds” out there that insist on a
1954 style shallow drilled string bore, 6 in
line, machined steel sustain block.
OK We're not going to argue the point !

The one thing you will never hear us at Wilkinson say is
something sounds better! WHY? Because it
is all subjective and in reality can not be
proved.  We have always tried to preserve the
original sound integrity of all guitars and all
styles of hardware.
So why are we building this bridge? Simple.
WE respect you guys of the shallow drilled
6 in line string mounting fraternity but why
should you suffer tuning instability for your
beliefs !!
That is why we developed these new
WLS saddles.
Two pivot vibratos have been with us for
decades now and there is no denying that
when properly engineered and hardened,
then this form of fulcrum system is the best
there is. Couple this with a solid machined
steel block where the ball ends are at the
bottom of the block, How could it get any
better.
Of course we couldn’t build a vibrato like
this without the ever popular “Wilkinson arm
collar and arm assembly” (often copied but
never bettered) rounding out the ultimate
package.
Unlike any other locking saddles available
today, the string is locked directly at the
intonation point where the string leaves the
saddle. It’s so simple yet so elegant.

Saddles are steel and heat treated for zero
wear at the intonation point, they adjust like
any regular saddle for intonation and string
height adjustment.

String your guitar as normal, tune it up, give the vibrato a couple
of dives to even out the string tension,
re-tune and lock the hold down screw !
