From the chromed out, space-age Sears logo on the headstock to the uniquely smooth vibrato system, this guitar epitomizes wacky, vintage vibe. It has been quite obviously designed to look like an SG, but it is completely distinct in some key ways. The super retro headstock, vibrato arm and one-of-a-kind binding on the neck all add to the classic look of an SG to create an entirely new beast. The electronics work flawlessly and give this guitar a sound all its own. It features a very slim and playable bolt-on neck.
The only major defect is a split in the headstock only visible from the back that goes down through the E, A, and D tuning machines. The split does not go all the way through the headstock and has no impact on tuning stability. There is some buzz on the fretboard that might need to be fixed with a fret-leveling.
If you want something affordable and entirely unique, you cannot go wrong with this Sears. This guitar is sure to get compliments everywhere you play.
