A mint condition DW Super Solid Shell Snare Drum. This drum is their 1/2” shell. It is a Lacquer Custom finish that they call, “Vegas Gold”. Gold with a small fleck in the finish. Pictures really don’t do it justice. There are zero issues with this drum !

I bought it new and received it 2 months ago, (08-11-26). I used different heads when I set it up. So the stock/new heads were placed back on today. I would usually give my impression of sound but if you look at the screenshot (last pic) , you will see there is a recording on YouTube of this actual drum. So you can make up your own mind in regards to the sound.

I changed out the snare throw with DW’s smaller version, which is still on the drum. I like it better because it isn’t as bulky when putting the drum in it’s case. But the original larger version is included. The snare has been double boxed for shipping.

These are becoming harder to find. The shell maker that DW used is no longer making the shells and a short time ago DW is no longer offering this shell/snare. There is also an incredible video on YouTube that John Good from DW did years ago explaining the process the shell maker used with the Super Solid and Super Solid Edges…..well worth the watch. The few of these that are new and for sale are all priced $1800+. Thanks for looking.
