The Quantum HD 8 is a 26x30 USB-C audio interface specifically designed for studio and multitrack recording, featuring eight MAX-HD mic preamps with up to 75 dB of gain, 48V phantom power, and Auto Gain. It supports up to 32-bit/192 kHz and has two front-panel instrument inputs developed in collaboration with Fender for guitar and bass, as well as two dedicated re-amping outputs, ideal for sending a DI track to an amplifier or pedals. It also offers 16 ADAT channels, S/PDIF, MIDI, word clock, 10 line outputs, two headphone outputs, and a DSP mixer with loopback. Sound On Sound's reviews highlighted its very low latency and clean, versatile preamps. However, re-amping should be routed from the DAW rather than directly from the internal mixer.
