ESP Eclipse I CTM BB BKSS PL 2006 – Paul Landers

Built in 2006 in Japan as part of the ESP Standard Series, this guitar is visually and spec-wise closely based on the Eclipse built for Paul Landers. However, ESP did not officially market this model as a Paul Landers signature guitar, although the model designation does include the initials “PL.”

The mahogany body features a maple top and is paired with a mahogany neck with a Thin-U profile. The ebony fingerboard has 24 X-Jumbo frets. For its electronics, the guitar is equipped with an EMG 60 in the neck position and an EMG 81 at the bridge. The controls follow the classic four-knob Les Paul-style layout.

The Eclipse comes in a Black Satin finish, accented by bold silver binding. Hardware includes a Gotoh TOM bridge with tailpiece and Sperzel locking tuners.

The guitar is in very good overall condition, showing only light signs of use. There is an approximately 2.5 cm long finish scratch on the back of the body, along with a few small dings around the body edge. The rear corner of the headstock also has a small finish crack. In several areas, normal playing and handling have caused parts of the originally satin finish to become polished and slightly glossy.
