Morley Compact Wah Volume CWV, 1982 - 84 (USA)

Morley compact series Wah pedal, serial no. A23902, thus estimated production year 1982 - 84 (USA), indicating an early version.

Morleys wah effect is a bit different from the classic Cry Baby, as the effect is created using a light diode and a photocell to control the effect. This provides a more smooth, fluid, and quiet filtering, without any mechanical issues.

Therefore the effect pedal is recommendable also for bass guitars...

Further there is a volume effect when switched off, with a linear effect due to the optical usage.

The pedal requires 12 V from adapter and further is based on a mini jack - adapter enclosed as seen from photos.

All in all an interesting alternative to other wah wah options, however please notice that the size is also quite different - as compact is its name for a reason.
L x W = 17 cm x 11 cm, thus a rather small plate for foot movements. On a board this may be an advantage, however I never got used to it.
