A rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful matching pair of Yamaha KA-30 professional powered keyboard speakers, originally developed by Yamaha for its prestigious HX-series electronic instruments.

These are substantial vintage Yamaha amplification systems from the company’s flagship keyboard/Electone era — each KA-30 incorporates its own powerful 250-watt amplifier.

This matching pair has seen very little use and has been carefully preserved. As the photographs show, they remain in remarkably attractive cosmetic condition for their age, including the original Yamaha badges, grille cloth and cabinets.

The KA-30 should not be confused with a small 30-watt keyboard amplifier. Despite the model designation, Yamaha rated the KA-30 at 250 watts per unit, making this pair a formidable 500-watt amplification system.

These speakers were designed during the era of Yamaha’s extraordinary HX modular Electone system, when the company was pushing FM and digital keyboard technology to its limits. Today, surviving KA-30s are uncommon; finding two matching examples in this condition is considerably more difficult.

They would make a wonderful addition to a vintage Yamaha collection, an HX-series setup, or a serious electronic-organ installation.
