Overview
Yamaha introduced the SBG (Solid Body Guitar) line in the early 1980s.
The SBG500 was one of the lower end and shorter-lived models of the SGB line, featuring an Agathis body with a double symmetrical cutaway and two exposed humbuckers. It had a 24.75 inch scale length.
In 1998 Yamaha reissued this model as the SGB500B.
