The Two Notes Le Crunch is a dual-channel British-voiced tube preamp pedal designed to capture the classic crunch tones of British stack amplifiers that defined Rock’n’Roll from the late 60s onward. It features two fully independent and footswitchable preamps: Channel A delivers a clean, throaty Plexi-like sound with a vintage style low-gain tube stage and pre-gain EQ (bass and treble control), while Channel B provides a higher gain, gritty crunch tone with a powerful post-EQ including bass, mid (with sweep), and treble control.The pedal offers “Fusion” modes—Cold Fusion blends the cleaner sound of Channel A with the distorted Channel B for clarity and articulation, while Hot Fusion cascades the two channels, using Channel A as a boost for Channel B to achieve modern high-gain tones suited for shredders and down-tuned riffers.Regarding reverbs, the Two Notes Le Crunch itself does not have a built-in reverb effect. Instead, it focuses on delivering authentic tube-driven preamp tones with detailed EQ control, high voltage (200V) tube dynamics, and excellent response to guitar and pedals. It includes Wall of Sound III speaker cab simulation software free with purchase, which includes cabinet, microphone, and tube power amp emulations that can be used in software to add spatial effects such as reverb as part of the amp simulation.The pedal also has extensive connectivity: a DI output with ground lift for direct recording, a THRU output to run the unaffected signal to an amp, an effects loop for time-based effects usage (where reverb pedals can be integrated), MIDI input and output for external controllers, and a headphone output with switchable speaker simulation for silent practice.In sum, the Two Notes Le Crunch excels as a British-voiced ripple-effect-free tube preamp pedal with flexibility for blending sounds, high-gain options, and full rig integration, but reverb would be added externally or via the Wall of Sound III software rather than on the pedal itself.Some play wear scratches.
