Made in Mexico in 2021. We have received a used BTe-Koa in stock. The top is solid Hawaiian koa, while the sides and back are Hawaiian koa laminate. The neck is mahogany, and the bridge and fingerboard are ebony. It produces a pleasant sound with a soft, rustic quality reminiscent of tapping on wood, allowing you to enjoy the unique playing feel of Hawaiian koa. Featuring an arched back design, it delivers surprisingly rich bass response despite the compact body size. The neck features the bolt-on joint unique to Baby Taylor guitars. It offers stable playability all the way to the high frets, ensuring a stress-free playing experience. The preamp is an ES-B. It is an excellent pickup system with high sensitivity that captures the nuances of your picking. The entire guitar has a matte finish, though some areas?such as the back of the neck and parts of the top?have developed a sheen from playing. There is slight warping around the bridge, but it is minor and does not affect playability. As such, while it shows signs of use typical of a pre-owned instrument, it plays well and is in good condition. There is plenty of adjustment left on the truss rod, and the neck is in good condition. The preamp functions normally. It comes with the original gig case. The Hawaiian koa grain is beautiful, making this a guitar that is a joy to both look at and play.
