The Stentor Student 1 violin outfit is produced in a carefully supervised environment. Design, specification and production control are provided by the specialist expertise of Stentor Music Co. Ltd. UK, whose history in Britain exceeds 100 years.All wood is carefully selected and dried before use and moisture content monitored using British made testing equipment. Workers who are trained at every stage do carving by hand. Tools used are a mixture of Chinese craft tools and specialist tools made in Europe; each worker being responsible for maintaining their own tools. Each instrument is carved from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling and good quality pau rosa pegs and ebonised straight grained fingerboard. It is fitted with a good quality bridge and tailpiece with integral adjusters. The outfit includes a reliable wood bow and well-designed lightweight case with fitted interior, external shoulder rest pocket and music pocket, bow holders and rosin as well as backpack carrying straps.
