Selling an original 1990 PRS Custom 24, with 10-Top in whale blue. Guitar is all original and in very good condition for its age, and showing very light signs of careful use. This guitar has an incredible tight flame top, great color with no fading, no cloudy finish issues, original early vintage bass and HFS pickups (first year, I believe), amd sweet switch with rotary pickup switch control. Neck shape is Wide Thin, eith crescent moon inlays on Brazillian Rosewood fretboard. Guitar is a nice weight at just over 8lbs and rings out really nice with great sustain. Guitar has its original case and docum, as well as original catalogue. Set up 9-46 standard tuning.This is a fantastic vintage PRS Custom with a great top in one of the best colours. At a time when most guitar companies were simply copying or slightly modifying the tested platforms of Fender and Gibson (which Paul Reed Smith did himself in his "pre-factory" days), the PRS Custom 24 -- simply called "PRS Custom" in the first catalog -- made use of a new, fresh shape, unique 25" scale with 24 frets, and premium woods for stunning flametops. The first factory-made PRS Custom 24s shown here used Brazilian Rosewood fretboards.
