About this listing
A Suprafonic from the 1960s in excellent condition A 1960s Radick 400 snare drum. The LM400, a standard metal snare, features a seamless shell made of chrome-plated aluminum. This design has been carried forward for over 60 years since its release, and its sound?marked by a bright, crisp, and familiar midrange?has become the benchmark for all drummers, embodying a standard, clear sound character. In particular, 1960s models are popular for their thin hoops and open, mild touch. Based on the date stamp inside, this appears to be a 1968 model. There is no peeling of the shell plating, which is common in vintage 400s, and with no noticeable damage, it is in good condition. Although there are some minor wear marks on the parts, it is almost entirely original, with the exception of the heads and a few washers. You can enjoy a very mellow and rich tone. This is an excellent specimen that I can confidently recommend to anyone looking for a Vintage 400.
