JBL AM7212/00 S/m 12" Two-Way Passive/Bi-Amp Speaker System The JBL AM7212/00 is a workhorse mid-size loudspeaker engineered for consistent, controlled coverage in installed sound applications. Its compact footprint and flexible mounting options make it equally at home as a main speaker, fill unit, or stage monitor, delivering professional output without requiring extensive rigging infrastructure. Audio Performance & Coverage This system combines a 12-inch low-frequency driver with a 1.5-inch compression driver on a rotatable waveguide, covering a 100° × 100° pattern that maintains coherent sound across its listening area. Peak output reaches 132 dB-SPL (LF) and 137 dB-SPL (HF) in bi-amp mode, with 95 dB SPL sensitivity in passive mode, making it capable of significant reinforcement in mid-sized venues without excessive amplifier demand. Design & Build Quality The enclosure is constructed from braced multi-ply birch with JBL's DuraFlex finish, wrapped in a 14-gauge perforated steel grille lined with acoustically transparent foam for durability in touring and installed environments. The speaker features 15 M10 threaded suspension points and a rotatable waveguide for vertical or horizontal orientation, accommodating flexible deployment strategies. Key Features Frequency response ±3 dB: 42 Hz – 20 kHz Frequency range (-10 dB): 36 Hz – 20 kHz Coverage pattern: 100° × 100° with directivity index of 9.1 dB 2262H 300mm (12 in) low-frequency driver 2432H high-frequency compression driver, 38 mm exit / 75 mm voice-coil Passive crossover at 1.5 kHz with bi-amp/passive switchable modes Long-term power rating (IEC passive): 600 W continuous (2400 W peak) for 100 hours Low-frequency transducer: 1000 W AES (4000 W peak, 2 hrs); 700 W (2800 W peak, 100 hrs) High-frequency transducer: 100 W AES (400 W peak, 2 hrs) Nominal impedance: 8 Ohms 15 M10 threaded suspension points with rotatable waveguide Multi-ply birch enclosure with DuraFlex finish and heavy bracing The AM7212/00 delivers accurate, controlled sound reinforcement through a balanced design that prioritizes reliability, coverage consistency, and straightforward deployment in both temporary and permanent installations.
