About this listing
Up for sale is a certified player’s piece from the legendary Japanese production era: a 2002 Jackson DK2 Pro in the iconic, out-of-production Hot Rod Flames graphic. If you are looking for a pristine, untouched case queen, this isn't it. But if you want a reliable, high-performance shred machine loaded with premium hardware upgrades that plays exceptionally well, this is your guitar.Premium Upgrades & Bench Adjustments:Bridge: Factory licensed tremolo upgraded to a premium Gotoh 1996t double-locking tremolo system (widely regarded as the most stable, highest-quality Floyd Rose replacement available).Bridge Pickup: Upgraded to a high-gain Seymour Duncan JB Rail for incredible articulation, high-output chunk, and cutting lead tones.Setup: Just completed a full bench check. truss rod relief is set to .006", action height sits LOW at 1.5mm low E and 1.35mm high e. tuned to Drop D but can be returned to standard. The Tremolo Post Stability Status (Full Disclosure):Like many older import guitars with alder or poplar bodies, this guitar experienced a typical tremolo cavity anchor stud blowout. To ensure this guitar lives a long, aggressive life on stage, the anchor stud area was fully repaired, structurally reinforced, and stabilized. The repair is completely flush and solid. The Gotoh bridge seats perfectly flat and parallel to the body under full tension. Hard bends, deep dive bombs, and aggressive tremolo flutters return right to pitch, zero creeping, and excellent overall tuning stability.Condition & Playability:Neck & Frets: Fast, slim Jackson neck profile with plenty of fret life remaining. (no high frets, strings can bend full step all the way up the neck)Gotoh Tremolo: Retains excellent tuning stability and flutters like a door springCosmetics: Expect normal minor surface wear and minor player marks consistent with a well-loved 20+ year-old guitar. The graphic still looks absolutely killer under stage lights.Case/Shipping: comes with a brand new roadrunner gigbag, the original Duncan Design bridge pickup and the original Jackson JT-580lp tremolo system and chrome hardware, backplate as well. Conclusion: The guitar absolutely rips, I bought it used to restore and turn it into the shredder it deserves to be I.E. JB rails and the Gotoh 1996t. people are posting these for ubsurd amounts and heres your chance to have it with the most common super charged mods Jackson players typically opt for.feel free to message for any questions
