Ibanez AEG721 7-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar – Black OutExtended-Range Acoustic Performance with a Bold Blacked-Out LookThe Ibanez AEG721 7-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Black Out combines the comfort and versatility of Ibanez's popular AEG body with the expanded range of a seventh low-B string. Designed for players who want to move beyond the limitations of a traditional six-string acoustic, the AEG721 delivers deeper bass response, expanded chord voicings, and exciting new possibilities for solo arrangements and accompaniment. Its spruce top provides clarity and definition, while the sapele back and sides contribute warmth, body, and a pleasing midrange response. The result is a versatile acoustic voice that maintains definition across all seven strings—even when you venture into the guitar's extended lower register.Finished in Ibanez's dramatic Black Out treatment with black hardware, a Macassar ebony fingerboard and bridge, and black-dyed bone nut and saddle, the AEG721 has a modern stage-ready appearance to match its extended-range capabilities. The Power of a Seventh StringThe AEG721 adds a low B below the standard low E, giving guitarists an entirely new range of notes without changing the familiar tuning of the traditional six strings. The factory tuning from the first through seventh strings is E-B-G-D-A-E-B.That additional low B opens up exciting possibilities for deeper bass lines, fuller chord voicings, alternate arrangements, contemporary fingerstyle playing, worship music, solo acoustic performance, and other styles where an extended lower register can add depth and impact. If you're already comfortable on a six-string guitar, the AEG721 lets you keep everything you already know while adding another dimension to your playing.Comfortable AEG Body & 25" ScaleExtended range doesn't have to mean an uncomfortable instrument.Ibanez designed the AEG721 around its popular AEG body, providing a comfortable playing experience whether you're sitting or standing. Its cutaway design also provides convenient access to the upper frets. The Comfort Grip 3-piece Nyatoh/Maple neck features a comfortable Thin-C profile and is paired with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. A 25" scale length helps give the AEG721 an approachable feel, while the 50.2mm nut width provides the additional room needed for seven strings.Fishman Electronics for Stage and StudioThe AEG721 is equipped for serious amplified performance with a Fishman S-Core pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp. The preamp provides easy access to Volume, Bass, and Treble controls, along with an onboard tuner—an especially convenient feature when keeping seven strings performance-ready.Ibanez also gives you both 1/4" and balanced XLR outputs, allowing the guitar to connect easily to an acoustic amplifier, PA system, mixer, audio interface, or recording setup.Features & SpecificationsModel: Ibanez AEG721Finish: Black OutInstrument Type: 7-String Acoustic-Electric GuitarBody Shape: AEG CutawayTop: SpruceBack: SapeleSides: SapeleNeck: Comfort Grip 3-Piece Nyatoh/MapleNeck Profile: Thin-CFingerboard: Macassar EbonyBridge: Macassar EbonyScale Length: 634mm / 25"Nut Width: 50.2mmWidth at 14th Fret: 64mmFingerboard Radius: 400mmRNumber of Frets: 20Nut: Black-Dyed BoneSaddle: Black-Dyed BoneTuning Machines: Black Die-CastTuner Gear Ratio: 18:1Bridge Pins: Ibanez AdvantageNumber of Strings: 7String Spacing: 11mmFactory Strings: D'Addario XTAPB1253 plus .070-Gauge Phosphor BronzeString Gauges: .012 / .016 / .024 / .032 / .042 / .053 / .070Factory Tuning: E – B – G – D – A – E – B (1st through 7th)Pickup: Fishman S-CorePreamp: Ibanez AEQ-SP2Preamp Controls: Volume, Bass and TrebleOnboard Tuner: YesOutputs: Balanced XLR and 1/4"Battery: 9VBody Length: 19 3/8"Body Width: 15"Maximum Body Depth: 4 3/8"Recommended Case: Ibanez AEG10CCountry of Manufacture: IndonesiaWhy You'll Love the Ibanez AEG721If you've ever wished your acoustic guitar could reach just a little deeper, the Ibanez AEG721 gives you that extra range without requiring you to abandon the familiar feel and tuning of a six-string guitar. The additional low-B seventh string can add tremendous depth to chord voicings, bass lines, fingerstyle arrangements, and accompaniment.
